Google has published a nice introduction training kit on Google Analytics:
Course highlights include:

  • An overview of today’s digital measurement landscape
  • Guidance on how to build an effective measurement plan
  • Best practices for collecting actionable data
  • Descriptions of key digital measurement concepts, terminology and analysis techniques
  • Deep-dives into Google Analytics reports with specific examples for evaluating your digital marketing performance



Taking this full training would take you about 4 hours. You are certainly invited to do this (You won’t escape Google Analytics in your future job…). The subset selection you are required to look at for this e-marketing course will take you about 2 hours for a first showing and about 1 hour for the activities. The training consists of a combination of video material and small activities. What do you need to study for the exam ? If you can solve the activities on the analyticsacademy website below each video, you are well prepared for the exam. Do this for unit 2 till 4.4. You can skip the activities as of unit 4.5, although you should still watch video 4.5 and 5.1. The rest of the material of units 5 and 6 you can skip.
